EA stands for Early Access, our alpha Laravel Cloud experience. During EA you can expect close collaboration with the Cloud team as we update and improve the product.

• Yes, during EA Laravel Cloud will have the following limitations:

• Database compatibility: PostgreSQL only

• Region: US only us-east-2

• No custom runtimes or executables

• We advise against running any mission-critical or commercially significant applications at this time.

• Additional database support: Redis, MySQL, Serverless Postgres

• Additional regions across the world

• Fine grained permission & roles

For all Early Access phases, Laravel Cloud will be completely free for you & your team to use. We will not implement billing until GA in early February 2025.

In general, compute pricing will be comparable to other cloud platforms. Cost and savings compared to other platforms will depend on your traffic patterns; spiky usage should enjoy cost savings thanks to auto scaling features on Cloud.
